Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which Eco Repairs provides appliance repair services to customers.
By booking a service or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

Eco Repairs provides domestic appliance repair services.
Contact: support@ecorepairs.co.uk

2. Booking a Repair

When you book a repair, you agree to provide accurate information about the appliance, its model, and the fault.
All appointments are subject to availability. Time slots are estimates and may change due to delays or unforeseen circumstances.

3. Diagnostic Fee

A fixed diagnostic/inspection fee is payable when our engineer attends your property.
This fee covers the engineer’s time, expertise, and travel.
Once an engineer has attended, the diagnostic fee is non-refundable.

4. Repair Quotes

After diagnosing the issue, we will provide a clear repair quote including parts and labour.
No repair will be carried out without your approval.
You are not obligated to accept the quote.

5. Payment

Repair fees must be paid upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept card payments and other approved methods.
VAT is included where applicable.

6. Parts & Special Orders

If parts are required, they may need to be ordered from manufacturers or suppliers.
Special-order parts must be paid for upfront and are non-refundable unless they are faulty.
We are not responsible for delays caused by suppliers, couriers, or manufacturers.

7. Warranty

All repairs include a parts and labour warranty, the duration of which will be stated on your invoice.
The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse or neglect

  • Unrelated faults or new issues

  • Any repair attempted by a third party after our visit

  • Appliances used in commercial settings (unless agreed in writing)

8. No-Fix Situations

If the appliance is deemed beyond economical repair, or if parts are unavailable, you will only be charged the diagnostic fee.
We are not liable for any costs associated with replacing the appliance.

9. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 24 hour’s notice.
If you cancel late or are not present when the engineer arrives, the diagnostic fee may still apply.

10. Access & Safety Requirements

You must ensure safe and reasonable access to the appliance.
We reserve the right to refuse service if the working environment is unsafe, hazardous, or unhygienic.

11. Refund Policy:

11.1 Diagnostic Fee

The diagnostic fee is non-refundable once the engineer has arrived, regardless of whether you proceed with a repair.

11.2 Repairs

If a fault reoccurs within the warranty period and relates to our original repair, we will return to re-diagnose and resolve the issue at no additional labour charge.
Refunds for completed repairs are only issued if:

  • We are unable to source a replacement part under warranty, or

  • The repair was not carried out to a satisfactory standard, and we are unable to rectify it

11.3 Parts

Special-order parts are non-refundable unless confirmed faulty by the manufacturer.
If a part is faulty within the warranty period, it will be replaced free of charge.

11.4 Overpayments & Errors

If a payment is taken in error, we will issue a full refund within 5–10 working days.

11.5 Services Not Delivered

If your appointment is cancelled by us and no engineer attends, any prepaid fees will be fully refunded.

12. Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or faults
